Elaine is the managing director of De Beer Attorneys.  Elaine has a wealth of experience in both prosecution and litigation of all forms of intellectual property.

Ntombovuyo is an Associate in the Patents Department at De Beer Attorneys. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Ntombovuyo obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Chemistry) degree from the University of Cape Town. She later obtained her LLB degree from the University of South Africa. She also completed a diploma in Business Management from the Business Management Training College of Southern Africa.

Nicki is a Senior Paralegal and the Head of Formalities at De Beer Attorneys. She manages all of the formal aspects related to the filing and prosecution of IP matters for local and foreign clients.

 

Nicki worked for many years in the UK at a large financial services company where she created a role for herself as Legal Secretary and Paralegal which played an integral part in the running of the in-house legal department and the company. Examination The application is subjected to formal examination only.
Duration The term is twenty years from the date of filing.
Renewal Maintenance fees are payable annually as from the third anniversary of the filing date. A 6 months grace period is available.
