About Hannah

After graduating with an LLB from the University of Cape Town, Hannah decided to further enrich her legal knowledge by pursuing a master’s degree. In 2018 she obtained an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Cape Town. She is particularly interested in aspects related to Advanced Contract Law and Advanced Commercial Law. During her master’s degree, Hannah’s research was focused on class actions instituted in terms of the new Company’s Act and the potential legal consequences this might have for companies, for which she obtained a distinction.  In 2019 she joined De Beer Attorneys as a Candidate Attorney where she is currently gaining exposure and experience in various areas of law with a focus on commercial law.

In addition, Hannah has demonstrated significant commercial acumen in the past by starting and running a small business during her studies, selling yoga accessories.

Hannah is a citizen of the United States and is also exploring the option of completing the New York Bar exam with a view to qualifying as a US lawyer.
